Andrew Ellinas founded Sandfords to serve the Highgate area in 1985, proudly placing his mother’s maiden name on his new company’s signs, and has steered the company through two property slumps to become the major force in Marylebone and Regent’s Park. Although Andrew has always been intimately involved in property, he has a wide range of experience and expertise. He graduated in law in the 1970s, but then spent a decade working as a presenter and producer in the then fledgling commercial radio including a two year stint presenting the breakfast show at London’s Jazz FM. Andrew is passionate about the Regent’s Park and Marylebone areas and knows it better than anybody, both on the residential and commercial property sides. But he still finds time to indulge his love of radio, regularly broadcasting at Silverstone including the British Grand Prix and other motor racing events. He is a member of Mensa and has always loved participating in sports including skiing, tennis and scuba diving.

After a stint as a futures trader in the City, James Light moved into the new homes market working as an area sales manager for a national house builder. This was followed by a move to the commercial property sector working for a firm of chartered surveyors. In 1994 he was introduced by a mutual friend to Andrew Ellinas and the rest is history. The two went into partnership to open the first Regent’s Park office of Sandfords in Ivor Place later that same year. James' experience in new home and commercial property brings a depth of experience to Sandfords that sets them apart from the usual run of agencies. A big fan of the beautiful game, James supports West Ham United and manages the Alexandra Park Under-13s football team.

Linsey Warburton started in the property business after graduating in economics and accounting, moving to North London where she was assistant group accountant for a large property developer and serviced office space provider. She started with Sandfords 10 years ago when we were a relatively small independent establishment and has seen the company grow both in the number of staff employed and in the expanded areas that Sandfords now covers, and now keeps a tight rein on finances in the interests of our clients.

Few people have more experience of the north London property market than Spencer Botchin. He worked through the 1980s property boom and subsequent bust with Talbot's Estate Agents, first in Hendon and then as branch manager in Palmers Green and Edgware. Spencer then moved south to manage branches of Kinleigh Folkard and Hayward in Marylebone and St John's Wood. In 2009 Spencer returned to Marylebone and Regent's Park, the area he loves and is completely passionate about. Spencer's wide experience and deep local knowledge have made him something of a property guru, and he has featured in many articles in the local and national press and radio.

Ricky Dengel was born and bred in Maida Vale, and has spent the last 15 years working in some of the most prestigious areas of north west London including Hampstead and Belsize Park, with a break of a year to travel round the world indulging his passion for diving. Ricky was involved in the successful launch of a new estate agency practice in London’s northern suburbs before returning to his home patch with Sandfords.

Zach Madison hails from the lovely Suffolk town of Woodbridge and began his career in estate agency with a small independent firm in the area and a national chain in Ipswich. Having gained experience, he wanted to move up a gear and get involved in the cut and thrust of the London market and joined Spencer Botchin atthe Marylebone branch of major London estate agents. Zach flourished in the Marylebone, Fitzrovia and Mayfair area, becoming the top negotiator in the company. His move to Sandfords rekindles his highly successful partnership with Spencer. Zach retains his links with his home county, and is proud to call himself a Tractor Boy, the nickname of supporters of Ipswich Town Football Club.

Kelly Matthews started her Estate Agency career in the suburbs of west London but craved the challenge of a busier central location, moving to a large letting agency in Mayfair where she was part of a prize-winning team and gained her initial ARLA qualifications. Working in a large corporate environment did not appeal, however, and Kelly moved to Sandfords in 2007.

Patti started in the rentals business as a lettings coordinator in Liverpool. Patti speaks three languages fluently, including her native Polish and Norwegian, which she learned while studying for her degree in media and art history at the University of Oslo. During and after her studies, Patti toured around Europe pursuing one of her major interests, William Shakespeare, so she feels at home in Marylebone – the Bard performed in inns along the Edgware Road with Burbage's company, and his plays are the mainstay of the Regent's Park Open Air Theatre. She also plays classical guitar.

Tim Fairweather cut his teeth in property in Hertfordshire before moving to Marylebone more than 10 years ago. After several years gaining experience with local firms he set up on his own residential sales agency, Sturridge Fairweather. Tim brought his tremendous expertise and knowledge of the Marylebone market to Sandfords when he set up the Marylebone Village office in 2006. A large amount of Tim's spare time is spent in and under his classic British sports car – an immaculate Austin-Healey 3000.

Julia Garber started her property career when she returned to work part-time after the arrival of her children. She ran a successful lettings department for an independent agent in Mayfair specialising in short lets to Americans seconded to London. The backlash from the 9/11 attack closed the agency, but her can-do attitude is shown by her taking the lettings business over and running it from home while her children grew up. In 2005 she returned full time to run a large lettings department covering most of the West End, and in 2007 joined Sandfords to head the lettings department.

Michael comes from a long line of property professionals – his great grandfather founded a firm of surveyors in West London in the 1930s and when Michael joined the firm in 1991 he was working with both his father and grandfather. Over eleven years he rose from sales negotiator to director, implementing a highly successful rebranding and expansion, as well as starting an offshoot company specialising in new computer technologies for estate agency. Eventually, the firm was sold and Michael worked for a variety of agents in London and helping nationwide estate agency Savills to expand in the prime Midlands area. After a couple of years travelling the world from Nicaragua to New Zealand, Michael is now back home in London. In his spare time he continues with his twin passions of photography and scuba diving – once upon a time he was an instructor and shark feeder in the Bahamas.

Mathew Walters is a true property professional, having graduated from the real estate management course at Oxford Brookes University in 2006, after which he joined the commercial graduate training scheme of a major national chain and worked towards qualifying for membership of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors. After a short period in the west and south-west London market, Mathew joined Sandfords in 2009.

Nadia Taylor was educated at the French Lycee in London and speaks French fluently. She then went on to gain a BA in Business with Tourism at Westminster University and worked with both the Arcadia Group and an airline. Nadia has worked in both branches of Sandfords, first as a sales administrator and then as a renewals and new business negotiator in the W1 and NW1 areas when the lettings department opened in 2007, so she has seen both boom and bust in the lettings market.

Originally from Estonia, Victorian gained a BA in English Studies and Russian at Nottingham University but had fallen in love with London which she now calls home. An MA at the University of Kingston in European Real Estate prepared her for a position as a lettings negotiator in Marylebone. She then moved to Highgate but found that she prefers the Marylebone area so returned to join Sandfords. Victoria speaks Russian (her mother tongue) and Estonian, and has a working knowledge of German. She loves dance, and was a member of the group Street Ballet in Estonia when they were finalists in the 2005 Dance World Cup. Extreme sports including windsurfing and snowboarding are her other passions.

Sinead Heath spent some of her younger years in Ireland where her family originates, she was born in South London and spent 7 years dancing for Italia Conti and Pineapple Studios, After College Sinead started working in the city for a fashion photography company as front of house. During this time she was also working in front of the camera modeling for a number of things. After two years in this field she decided to explore a part of the world and took herself around several islands in Greece. After 4 months spent doing this, she released her passion for meeting new people and arrived back to London. Always having an eye for property and an ambition to one day work in this field, the perfect opportunity arose for a front of house placement in a prestigious London office working for a dedicated team of professionals.
